Secretary-General || Faryal Gul

My name is Faryal Gul and I am a junior at University of Houston-Downtown. I am majoring in History and Political Science with minors in Philosophy, International Politics, and Professional Writing. I have competed as a delegate in two Model United Nations conferences, and have served as a director and chair HAMUN and Global Classrooms. A fun fact about me is I love to kick box and I have been training for over a year and hope to continue.

 

Director-General || Ramiro Ojeda

My name is Ramiro Ojeda and I currently attend the University of Houston-Downtown. I’m currently studying Political Science with a minor in Philosophy and hoping to attend Law School at the University of Houston Main Campus some day. Model UN has been a great experience because you get to see people from different cultures and from different countries come together and make a difference in our world, even though this is a simulation. Model UN actually brings people together to collaborate rather than going for an award. A fun fact you can say about me is that I speak three languages; English, Spanish, and a bit of German.

Greetings! My name is Katy De La O and I am an honor student at the University of Houston-Downtown. I am pursuing a political science degree with a minor in communication and public policy. In the past, I have staffed HAMUN 2016 and Global Classroom Houston 2016, while also participating in Model United Nations at the collegiate level. A fun fact about myself is that laughing is my favorite verb, mostly because it is my favorite thing to do.

My name is Miguel Sanchez and I am an honors student at the University of Houston-Downtown majoring in Psychology. I joined the UNA/MUN chapter at the University of Houston-Downtown recently in August and this is my first year competing in MUN. A fun fact about me is that I have a pet hedgehog.

 

Undersecretary-General of Conference Services || Jessica Plascencia

My name is Jessica Liliana Plascencia-Delgado and I am an honor student at the University of Houston-Downtown. My major is political science with two minors in international politics and history. This has been my the first time serving on the senior secretariat for Global Classrooms and it has been amazing! My MUN experience consists of  knowledge in writing position papers, research, parliamentary procedures, and the overall rules of MUN.  In addition in November I will have competed in the Southern Regional Model United Nations in Atlanta, GA. One fun fact about me is that I was actually born and raised in Los Angeles but I love Texas dearly.

 

Undersecretary-General of Multimedia || Ignasio Hernandez

My name is Ignasio Hernandez and I am an honors student at the University of Houston-Downtown. Currently, I am studying mathematics to either become a teacher or study Medical Dosimetry. I have not competed in a MUN before, but I have helped create media for GC Houston before and know the rules that apply to MUN. A fun fact about myself is that I love to bike ride and take photos when I get the chance!
